How to access Resorts of the Canadian Rockies

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

RCR has decided to require proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record for all guests 12 or older to access all chair lifts and indoor facilities at their resorts this winter.

REQUIREMENTS FOR LIFT ACCESS

If you are skiing or snowboarding at any of the RCR resorts, you will need to go to an RCR ticket window to provide proof of your COVID-19 Immunization Record, valid government issued photo identification and your Epic Pass, Epic 4-Day, Epic 5-Day, Epic 6-Day or Epic 7-Day Pass before you can access any chair lifts or indoor facilities.

*Please note that International travelers outside of the country of Canada will be required to provide proof of vaccination before they enter the country. This verification is sufficient for all RCR resorts operating in British Columbia (Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberly Alpine Resort). Therefore, Pass Holders travelling from outside Canada to visit these resorts in British Columbia will not have to provide additional COVID-19 Immunization verification. They will have direct to lift access at RCR resorts in British Columbia (Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberly Alpine Resort)

Which Epic Season Pass products provide access to skiing and riding at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

The following season pass products provide access to the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies:

  • Epic Pass: A total of seven days of skiing and snowboarding at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. No restricted dates. The days do not have to be used consecutively.  Once all seven days have been redeemed, Pass Holders can purchase lift tickets at 50 percent off to ski or snowboard at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.   • Epic Day Pass: Epic 4-Day Pass, Epic 5-Day Pass, Epic 6-Day Pass and Epic 7-Day Pass Holders will receive up to seven days total of skiing or snowboarding at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies as part of their total days. After the purchased days are used, regardless of the resort at which they were redeemed, Pass Holders can get 50 percent off additional lift tickets at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.     • For Epic Day Pass products with holiday restrictions, restricted dates apply across all resorts. Epic 1-Day Pass, Epic 2-Day Pass and Epic 3-Day Pass Holders and Epic Day Pass with limited access will not receive access to Resorts of the Canadian Rockies as part of their pass.

Where are the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and what resorts are included in the benefit?

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. (RCR) is the largest private ski resort owner/operator in North America, owning six ski resorts across Canada including: Nakiska Ski Area in Alberta; Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in British Columbia and Mont-Sainte Anne and Stoneham in Quebec. 

Are the total Days on the Epic Day Pass in addition to resort access for other resorts?

Epic Day Pass Holders will receive in total the number of days purchased of skiing or snowboarding at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies with no restricted dates as part of their total days on the pass. Restricted dates will apply for Epic Day Pass products with restrictions.

Are there any other Vail Resorts season pass products that offer access to RCR?

Yes, the following products also offer the same RCR access as the Epic Pass: Lifetime Pass, Trade Epic Pass, Employee Lifetime Pass. 

Does the Epic Local Pass have access to the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Access to the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is only available on the Epic Pass, Epic 4-Day Pass, Epic 5-Day Pass, Epic 6-Day Pass and Epic 7-Day pass (with or without holiday restrictions).

Do I get a discount on lift tickets at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies once I use all of my days on an Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass?

Yes. Once all eligible days have been used on your Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass, Pass Holders will receive 50 percent off additional lift tickets at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.

Are there any lodging requirements to receive my seven days at the RCR resorts?

No

If I buy my season pass online, when can I expect to receive it?
For first-time Epic Season Pass Holders and guests who upgraded into a new pass product, your pass will be mailed to you 7-14 business days from the time your photo upload is accepted. You may also have your photo taken and pass printed in person at a season pass office at any Vail Resorts owned and operated resort.  The release of liability must be completed and a recent photo must be added to your profile for your Season Pass to be active.

How do I get access to ski or snowboard athe Resorts of the Canadian Rockies once I have purchased my Epic Pass, Epic 4-Day Pass, Epic 5-Day Pass, Epic 6-Day Pass, or Epic 7-Day Pass? Can I go directly to the lift?

Yes. If you already have your Epic Pass printed, and you have completed your release of liability you can go direct-to-lift with your Epic Pass, Epic 4-Day Pass, Epic 5-Day Pass, Epic 6-Day Pass or Epic 7-Day Pass.
I purchased my Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass online but have not yet received the actual pass. Can I access Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Yes, bring your Epic Pass confirmation and photo ID to any Resorts of the Canadian Rockies ticket office to redeem a day pass. The release of liability must have been completed for your Season Pass to be active. If you have questions about your Epic Pass please call Customer Service at +1-970-754-0005.

I have not received my Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass yet. Can I get one printed at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Vail Resorts season passes can only be printed at a Vail Resorts owned and operated resort. If you have questions about your Epic Pass please call Customer Service at +1-970-754-0005.  

Do Epic Pass, or Epic Day Pass discounts (e.g., discounts on food, etc.) apply at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Epic Pass product discounts are only valid at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. 

I am an Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass Holder. Can I use resort charge at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass resort charge is only available at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts.  

Are Buddy Tickets valid at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?
Buddy Tickets are only valid at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts, not at partner resorts.

Are my Ski With A Friend tickets valid at the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Ski With A Friend are only valid at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts, not at partner resorts.

Will EpicMix be available at any of the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

I have a Military season pass product.  Do I have access to Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Military pass products do not have access at partner resorts.
