Frequently Asked Questions
Are there discounted skiing options for Young Adults?
Yes. Young Adult is a new age-based price tier on the Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass for guests ages 18–30, designed to make skiing and riding more accessible for Young Adults with the same great access and benefits as the full priced versions of those Passes.
Do the Young Adult Pass options work for spring break trips?
Yes. Epic Pass & Epic Local Passes both offer season-long access. Many Epic Pass resorts have long seasons and remain open into April and even May, making them a great option for college students planning to ski & ride over spring break.
Why are the Epic and Epic Local Passes good options for Young Adults and college students?
The Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass work well for Young Adults and college students because they offers flexible access to world class resorts, fewer restrictions on when you can ski, and Epic Mountain Rewards. Plus, you no longer have to be enrolled in a college to cash in on Pass discounts! Adults ages 18-30 can save 20% on Epic Pass & Epic Local Pass.
Am I eligible for Young Adult pricing on Epic and Epic Local Pass?
Categories for age-restricted Passes are determined by age of the skier/rider on the purchase date. Once purchased and verified, the Pass is valid for the entire applicable season and will not be restricted should the Pass Holder no longer fall into another age range.
If I previously had a College Pass, am I eligible for a Young Adult Pass?
If you are between the ages of 18–30, you’re eligible to purchase a discounted Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass, regardless of whether you’re currently a student.
The Epic Local College Pass is no longer offered, in favor of expanding the discounted pricing to include all young adults ages 18-30. The Young Adult Pass options expand access beyond students and are designed for Young Adults whether they’re in school, working, or somewhere in between. View all Young Adult & College Pass options here.
I am a college/university student, what is the best Pass for me?
It depends on your age and where you plan to ski or ride.
If you’re between the ages of 18–30, you’re eligible for Young Adult Pass pricing, which is available on both the Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass. These Passes offer broad access and benefits and are available whether or not you’re currently enrolled as a student.
We also continue to offer select regional College Pass options for eligible students who primarily ski or ride at specific resorts or regions.
Who is eligible for college Passes?
Students must be enrolled full or part‑time in an undergraduate or graduate program at a Title IV, degree‑granting college or university in the United States to qualify for a College Pass. How can I verify my college status?
College Pass Holders may verify their college passes by sending their proof of enrollment and identification to https://epicpass.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Required eligible verification documents are as follows:
