Honoring our

Military Legacy

In 1957, Pete Seibert, who served in the U.S. Army’s famed 10th Mountain Division during World War II, and Earl Eaton, who served as an Army engineer, returned to the mountains where they had originally trained for WWII with a new mission: to create one of the most beloved mountain resorts in the world.

The Epic Military Pass was introduced in 2018 to honor the service of the Vail Resorts founders and the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces and the Australian Defense Force and their families.

The Future of the Sport is Inclusion

One way we demonstrate our core company value, Be Inclusive, is by working with nonprofit partners who are part of the fabric of the communities and major cities near our resorts. Our Inclusive Access programs directly increase equitable access for youth, adults, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BiPoC), populations and for those needing adaptive access due to physical or mental barriers. By listening and learning, we will continue to expand our access programs to ensure all are welcome at Vail Resorts.

Youth Access

Our youth access programs serve over 11,000 youth annually, who may not have otherwise had access to the sport, from across 32 of our mountain communities, including Vail, Heavenly and Park City, as well as from cities across the country.

Adaptive Access

Within equitable access, Vail Resorts focuses on adaptive access for those with physical and mental barriers. We partner with over 53 nonprofit organizations to offer adaptive programming, providing impactful in-kind support including lift tickets, ski passes and office space.

Adult Access

Through partnerships like the National Brotherhood of Snowsports instructor program and the SOS Outreach Mentor and Alumni program, we aim to both support access and build a pipeline of talent into the ski and ride industry.
