Which Epic Season Pass products provide access to skiing and riding at Rusutsu Resort in Japan?

The following season pass products provide access to Rusutsu Resort: 

  • Epic Pass: A total of five unrestricted consecutive days of skiing and snowboarding at Rusutsu Resort. No restricted dates. 
  • Epic Local Pass: A total of five unrestricted consecutive days of skiing and snowboarding at Rusutsu Resort. No restricted dates. 
  • Epic Australia Pass: A total of five unrestricted consecutive days of skiing and snowboarding at Rusutsu Resort. No restricted dates.

 

Where is Rusutsu Resort in Japan?
Rusutsu Resort is located in Hokkaido, Japan, just 90 minutes from Sapporo and New Chitose Airport.

How do I get access to ski or snowboard at Rusutsu Resort once I have purchased my Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass or Epic Australia Pass?
Epic Pass, Epic Local, and Epic Australia Pass* holders are required to present their valid Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass or Epic Australia Pass hard card and a valid photo ID to the lift cashier at Rusutsu Resort to redeem their five-day lift ticket.

*The Epic Australia Season begins in the Northern Hemisphere in November of the current year and extends through April the following year.

 

If I buy my season pass online, when can I expect to receive it?
For first-time Epic Season Pass holders and guests who upgraded into a new pass product, your pass will be mailed to you 7-14 business days from the time your photo upload is accepted. You may also have your photo taken and pass printed in person at a season pass office at any Vail Resorts owned and operated resort.  The release of liability must be completed for your Season Pass to be active.

 

I purchased my Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass or Epic Australia Pass online but have not yet received the actual pass. Can I access Rusutsu Resort?
Yes, bring your Epic Pass confirmation and photo ID to a Rusutsu Resort ticket office to redeem a day pass. Please note the release of liability must have been completed for your Season Pass to be active and you must have a recent photo on file.  If you have questions about your Epic Australia Pass please call Perisher Customer Service at 1300 588 955.

I have not received my Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass or Epic Australia Pass yet. Can I get one printed at Rusutsu Resort?
Vail Resorts season passes can only be printed at a Vail Resorts owned and operated resort. If you have questions about your Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass, please call +1-970-754-0005 (US).  If you have questions about your Epic Australia Pass please call Perisher Customer Service at 1300 588 955.

 

Do Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, and Epic Australia Pass discounts (e.g., discounts on food, etc.) apply at Rusutsu Resort?
No. Epic Pass product discounts are only valid at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. 

 

I am an Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass or Epic Australia Pass holder. Can I use resort charge at Rusutsu Resort?
No. Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Epic Australia Pass resort charge is only available at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts.  

 

Are Buddy Tickets valid at Rusutsu Resort?
Buddy Tickets are only valid at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts, not at partnership resorts.

Are my Ski With A Friend tickets on my Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass or Bring-A-Mate tickets on my Epic Australia Pass valid at Rusutsu Resort?
No, Ski With A Friend tickets and Bring-A-Mate tickets are only valid at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts, not at partner resorts.

 

Will EpicMix be available at Rusutsu Resort?
No. EpicMix is only available at resorts owned and operated by Vail Resorts. For a full list of resorts with EpicMix, please visit www.epicmix.com.

 

How many days of skiing do Epic Season Pass holders get at Rusutsu Resort?

Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, and Epic Australia Pass holders will receive five consecutive days of skiing or snowboarding at Rusutsu Resort with no restricted dates.

 

Are Kamori Winter Passes eligible for any ski days at Vail Resorts ski areas?

Kamori Winter Pass holders will receive 50% off of the current lift ticket prices at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. Kamori Winter Pass holders must bring their pass and photo ID to a Vail Resorts Pass Office to purchase a discounted lift ticket.

Discounts do not apply at partner resorts.

 

Are there any lodging requirements to receive my five days at Rusutsu Resort?

No

 

I have a Military season pass product do I have access to Rusutsu Resort?

No.  Military pass products do not have access at partner resorts.

Can I still purchase Pass Insurance? 
No, Vail Resorts no longer offers Pass Insurance. Epic Coverage provides refunds for qualifying personal events as well as certain resort closures due to disease (e.g. COVID-19), war, terrorism, or specific natural disasters. And it’s free for all pass holders. 

What happens if I already purchased Pass Insurance for the 2020/21 season? 
Refunds for pass insurance were issued on June 17, 2020. If you did not receive a refund, this could be due to an invalid credit card on file. Please contact our call center for support via chat or by phone at (970) 754-0005 for help.

If a partner resort experiences a resort closure, is it covered under Epic Coverage? 
No, partner resorts are excluded from Epic Coverage. Epic Coverage only applies to Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. Partner resorts, including but not limited to Telluride, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, Hakuba Valley, Rusutsu, Skirama Dolomiti, Les 3 Vallees, 4 Vallees, and Arlberg, are excluded from Epic Coverage. Please visit www.epicpass.com/region/partners for a full list of partner resorts. 

It is important to note that days skied or ridden at partner resorts on your pass do count towards your total number of days skied or ridden in the determination of your refund. 

Does the use of my pass at a Partner Resort impact my refund eligibility with Epic Coverage?  
The use of your pass at a Partner Resort will count towards the number of days you have used your pass for purposes of determining the amount of any refund to which you may be eligible. Only closures of resorts owned and operated by Vail Resorts are covered by EPIC Coverage. EPIC Coverage does not provide refunds for any Partner Resort closures.
