ACCESS TO HAKUBA VALLEY ON EPIC SEASON PASS PRODUCTS

Which 2018-2019 Epic Season Pass products provide access to skiing and riding at Hakuba Valley in Japan?

The following season pass products that provide access to Hakuba Valley, beginning with the 2018-2019 winter season:
1. Epic Pass: Epic Pass holders will receive five consecutive days of skiing or snowboarding at Hakuba Valley, Japan with no blackout dates, beginning with the 2018-2019 season. The Epic Pass offers full access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont; Afton Alps in Minnesota; Mt. Brighton in Michigan; Wilmot Mountain in Wisconsin; Whistler Blackcomb in Canada; and Perisher in Australia, with no blackout dates. The Epic Pass also features seven days with no blackout dates at Telluride in Colorado; up to six days with no blackout dates at Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France; up to five days with no blackout dates at 4 Vallées in Switzerland; up to three days with no blackout dates at Arlberg in Austria; and up to three days with no blackout dates at Skirama Dolomiti in Italy.

2. Epic Local Pass: Epic Local Pass holders will receive five consecutive days of skiing or snowboarding at Hakuba Valley, Japan with no blackout dates, beginning with the 2018-2019 season. The pass also features unlimited and unrestricted skiing or snowboarding at Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Wilmot, Afton Alps and Mt. Brighton with limited restrictions at Park City, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, and 10 days at Whistler Blackcomb, Stowe Mountain Resort, Vail, and/or Beaver Creek, combined, with holiday restrictions.

Where is Hakuba Valley in Japan and what resorts are included in the benefit?

Hakuba Valley is one of Japan’s largest and most renowned mountain resorts located in the northern part of the Nagano Prefecture at the base of the country’s Northern Alps.

Hakuba Valley features nine resorts, including Jiigatake Snow Resort, Kashimayari Ski Resort, Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort, Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park, Hakuba Happo-one Snow Resort, Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field, Tsugaike Kogen Snow Resort, Hakuba Norikura Onsen Snow Resort, and Hakuba Cortina Snow Resort. The resorts offer all levels of ski and snowboard terrain with more than 130 trails and some of the longest vertical skiing in Japan, 102 lifts and abundant snowfall averaging 32 feet per season.

How do I get access to ski or snowboard at Hakuba Valley in 2018-2019 season once I have purchased my Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass?
2018-2019 Epic Pass holders are required to present their valid Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass hard card and a valid photo ID to the lift cashier at one of Hakuba Valley’s nine resorts to redeem their five-day lift ticket.

Are there any lodging requirements to receive my free consecutive five days at Hakuba Valley, Japan?

Which 2018-2019 Hakuba Valley season pass products provide access to Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts? 
Hakuba Valley All-Mountain season pass holders and individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass holders will receive 50 percent off lift tickets at all Vail Resorts owned and operated mountain resorts. This discount is not valid at Arapahoe Basin and Telluride in Colorado; Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France; 4 Vallées in Switzerland; Arlberg in Austria and Skirama Dolomiti in Italy; or any other partnership resort. 

Where can I purchase an Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass?
Epic Pass and Epic Local passes for the 2018-19 winter season will go on sale on March 6th at www.epicpass.com.

If I buy my season pass online, when can I expect to receive it?
Congrats on your new pass! For first-time Epic Season Pass holders, your pass will be mailed to you 7-10 business days from the time your photo upload is accepted. You may also have your photo taken and pass printed in person at a season pass office at any Vail Resorts owned and operated resort.  The release of liability must be completed for your Season Pass to be active.

I purchased my Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass online but have not yet received the actual pass. Can I access Hakuba Valley? 
Yes, bring your Epic Pass confirmation and photo ID to a Hakuba Valley resort ticket office to redeem a day pass. The release of liability must have been completed for your Season Pass to be active. If you have questions about your Epic Pass please call Customer Service at 970-754-0005.

I have not received my Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass yet. Can I get one printed at Hakuba Valley?
Vail Resorts season passes can only be printed at a Vail Resorts owned and operated resort. If you have questions about your Epic Pass please call Customer Service at +1-970-754-0005.  

If I have an active Hakuba Valley All-Mountain season pass or individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass, how do I receive my discounted lift tickets for Vail Resorts owned resorts? 
Hakuba Valley All-Mountain season pass holders and individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass holders visiting a Vail Resorts owned and operated resort must bring their pass to a Vail Resorts Pass Office to purchase a discounted lift ticket.

Do Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass discounts (e.g., discounts on food, etc.) apply at Hakuba Valley? 
No. Epic Pass product discounts are only valid at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. 

Do the discounts (e.g., discounts on food, etc.) for Hakuba Valley All-Mountain season pass holders and individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass holders apply at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts?
No. The discounts for Hakuba Valley All-Mountain season pass holders and individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass holders are only valid at Hakuba Valley. 

Do Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass holders get summer lift access at Hakuba Valley? 
No. Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass summer benefits are only valid at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. 

Do Hakuba Valley All-Mountain season pass holders or individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass holders get summer lift access at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts?

No. Summer benefits for Hakuba Valley All-Mountain Season pass holders and individual Hakuba Valley Resort season pass holders are only valid at Hakuba Valley.

What is the refund policy for Epic Pass and other season pass products?
All Vail Resorts season passes are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

How does the season pass insurance work for the Epic Pass and other season pass products?
All season passes are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Season pass refunds are available only when a guest purchased season pass insurance and has a valid claim under the insurance policy. Any refund is based on the cost of the season pass minus a daily rate for every day used up to the face value of the season pass. How does the Auto Renew program work?
Auto Renew is the most convenient way to automatically renew your season pass every year, while guaranteeing next season’s lowest price and the best benefits. When you sign-up for Auto Renew you will be charged $49 up front and the balance in mid-September. If you sign up for the auto-renew program this season, your pass will automatically renew next March for the 2019-2020 season unless you withdraw from the program before the initial charge. I am an Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass holder. Can I use resort charge at Hakuba Valley?
No. Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass resort charge is only available at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts.  

What are Buddy Tickets?
Buddy Tickets are discounted, single-day lift tickets set at a flat rate. Not all season passes include Buddy Tickets. If you purchase your Epic Pass by April 15, 2018, you will receive six Buddy Tickets.  

Are my Buddy Tickets on my Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass valid at Hakuba Valley?

Buddy Tickets are only valid at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts, not at partnership resorts.

What are Ski With A Friend tickets and how many do I receive?
As a valued season pass holder, most season passes will come with six discounted, single- day lift tickets loaded onto your season pass for friends and family to use. Ski With A Friend tickets vary in price based on the date you plan to visit and can be purchased at the lift ticket window. The season pass holder must be present at the time of purchase.

Are my Ski With A Friend tickets on my Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass valid at Hakuba Valley?
No, Epic Pass Ski With A Friend tickets will not be valid for use at Hakuba Valley. Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass Ski With A Friend tickets are valid at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts.

Does the Epic Pass have Global access to Partner Resorts?
Yes, the Epic Pass includes six days at Les 3 Vallees, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France, three days at Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta in Italy, five consecutive days at 4 Vallees in Switzerland and three consecutive days at Arlberg in Austria. Each resort has requirements that must be met to receive the free access. Is Hakuba Valley a part of the Mountain Collective Pass?
Mountain Collective pass holders will continue to have access to Hakuba Valley during the remainder of the 2017-2018 ski season. Beginning with the 2018-2019 ski season, however, Hakuba Valley will no longer be a part of the Mountain Collective Pass. The Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Epic Australia Pass will give you five consecutive days with no blackout dates at Hakuba Valley. 

Is the Vail Resorts Turn In Your Ticket program valid with a Hakuba Valley lift ticket?
No. The Vail Resorts Turn In Your Ticket program is only valid with lift tickets at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts. 

Will EpicMix be available at Hakuba Valley?
No. EpicMix is only available at these resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Tahoe; Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. CHANGING OR UPGRADING PRODUCTS

If I purchase an Epic Local Pass in the spring and decide I want to upgrade to an Epic Pass later, will I be allowed to change products?
Yes, if you decide to upgrade to an Epic Pass, while passes are still on sale, you can. You will pay the current Epic Pass price at the time of upgrade.
